I meditated for about two minutes last night and it felt great! So that’s gonna keep happening. This was after we got home from the Indianapolis Indians game against the Charlotte Knights. My husband got the four autographs he wanted so the evening was a success. I’m still recovering from some kind of virus so all the walking around we did left me feeling quite tired. My legs felt especially weak. I’m thinking that my strength and stamina would improve if I lost about 15 or 20 pounds. I think I look okay now, but I’d like to feel better so I’m going to take my weight loss efforts a lot more seriously than I have in the past. So more exercise, less sugar, more veggies, more whole grains. I know how to do it, it’ll just take a little planning, discipline, and mindfulness.
I watched a “Creative Inspirations” video on Lynda.com yesterday about a designer named Marian Bantjes. She does beautiful intricate, organic designs. I think I don’t have the vocabulary to talk about design so I must start reading books about design. Anyway, the video inspired me. I’ve also been scouring Pinterest for pictures of beautiful people-made things. I know I will continue to make art just for myself. Just to make my life a little brighter. I really want to make handmade Christmas cards this year, and I need get started on that about now I’d say. I’m really attracted to art of making handmade books. I took a class once and found some of the techniques a little difficult, but I’d love to try again.
