Paper doll card

Nestling Dolls

My second card

I decided to try one of Cricut’s free projects to get more experience with my Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine.

It’s marked as an “easy” project, and the cutting part is easy. Putting the thing together was a different story.

The instructions for assembling the card were pretty sparse.

I thought I could figure it out by looking at the finished card, but I think my brain isn’t set up for this type of puzzle. Yep, it was a bit of a puzzle. I went to YouTube for assistance. No matter what you need to learn, there’s bound to be a YouTube video to guide you.

This one from Stacy Williams was helpful:

This one by Official Cricut helped me to understand how the pieces fit together.

Here are some pictures that might help you to understand how all of the pieces fit together.

Pieces and parts

I laid everything out on the floor.

All of the parts, plus some extra bits that I wasn’t sure about.

Here’s the order of the top and bottom pieces. I think I did it right.

The dolls’ heads assembled
The bottom half
The smallest doll

The finished product! It’s not perfect, but I’ll get better at this eventually.
