My plan is to restore my parents’ wedding photos and put them in a new album in scrapbook format. I’ll also do a digital scrapbook version, or simply digitize the physical book.
Bill and Elsa got married in 1967 (maybe 68), so these prints are over a half a century old. They’ve held up pretty well, but they could do with some color correction.
My Photoshop skills are intermediate. I use the tools that I”m comfortable with despite knowing that my way is probably not the best way to get things done. There’s a bluprint course called Layers & Masks Demystified that should get me up to speed. I need to learn how to edit non-destructively.
I just bought the Wedding Days kit from Scrapbook.com with my one-time affiliate discount. Some of the pages are probably too rustic for my parents’ New York wedding, but I think I can find something that fits. Here’s a flip through of the kit.
I also like the Scrapbook Customs – Burlap and Lace Collection – 12 x 12 Paper Pack.
This will be lots of work, but that’s what weekends are for! This project might call for some simple paper flowers.
