Two card Saturday

Affiliate links are in this post

I spent most of Saturday making two cards. It doesn’t seem like it should take that much time, but I’m still learning. Also, I like to jump into projects without planning ahead. At the end of the day I had one card that I liked. I”m not crazy about the other one.

The design

I created this in Cricut Design Space. Both cards came from cutting these pieces.

The “good” one

I cut the main part multiple times, so there were extra circles to use. It’s a non-traditional Valentine’s Day card.

The okay one

I want to incorporate mixed media into my cards, so gave it a try. Here’s the start of this piece. I used some sheet music, a book page, and acrylic paint. Then I covered it with clear gesso and drizzled on some glitter.

The elephant didn’t work well on the altered piece so I made it into a birthday card.

I’m not thrilled with the bubbling from the wet media. I’ll need a better way to do this.

And that was my Saturday!
