Not as easy as I thought

In my last post I talked about creating a new scrapbook page every day. I got off to a good start, but there was a problem. I don’t really have enough embellishments to make a pleasing page.

Enter the Cricut

I’ve been wanting to make my own embellishments with my Cricut. I finally did it!

I fired up Design Space and made flowers.

And, after a bit of trial and error, a frame.

Here are all of the pieces. I got the borders as cut files from Scrapbook.com.

And here’s a mock-up of the page.

Lessons learned

I learned that developing a daily scrapbook routine takes some advance planning. Daily art journaling would be more realistic for me. Learning is what life is all about!

My next step is to keep creating and buying embellishments.

I’ve got my eye on this wildflower pack.
