Handmade cards with mixed media
I suppose it is not out of the question to combine art journaling with card making. I recently tried making a mixed media greeting card. It started out fine, but it went south quickly.
Here’s an ugly card I made for my aunt. I decided to go ahead and send it. It’s the thought that counts isn’t it? I’ll do better for Christmas.
My main issue with trying to make this kind of card is the wet medium. It warps the paper and makes the card look sloppy (in my opinion). The other problem is that I don’t know what I’m doing.
I decided to go in a different direction and use pencil. In the past, I’ve done some abstract pencil drawings that I liked. Here’s one!
