I’ve seen many crows flying around in my town for the last few days. These are sizable birds. When I see birds I think they must have a message for me. Maybe some of them do. Crows are able to recognize people’s faces. Is there a crow out […]
I like to write, dance, create arty stuff and learn as much as I can about all sorts of things. I am someone who wants to do more. I have a lot of interests and not enough time to pursue them. Mostly I'm trying to figure out how to navigate my way through this existence. Writing helps me to read the map.
I live in Bloomington, Indiana and work at Indiana University. I've been in Indiana for 13 years and I'm still surprised that I live here.

I have pledged many times to stick to one or two spare-time activities. I can’t do it. Last year I was obsessed with making digital art. I even had an art show in October. These days I’m not doing much art at all. Writing should be my main […]
Sometimes the mood shifts from fine to dark murky muck Without warning A room once bathed in yellow light grows ashen gray, then black as night Sometimes it’s a sweet sensation to wade and wallow in this damp, dank disposition Self-pity an inalienable right
I feel I’ve lived a thousand lives I wanted to write a poem about reincarnation. About the knowing I have that this life, in this body is just one of hundreds. Maybe one of thousands. I wanted to express, in verse, the joy of understanding that I am […]
I started doing yoga in the 80s when I bought the book, Raquel: The Raquel Welch Total Beauty and Fitness Program. I practiced on-and-off over the years and got a little bit serious about it when I lived in Champaign, Il and took an Iyengar class from Lois Steinberg. […]
