Don’t even think about writing a poem about writing a poem.

And please don’t start choreographing some modern dance piece where you stand on stage and talk about Doris Humphrey, asymmetry, and the difference between a skip and a hop.
No one needs that!
And for God’s sake, don’t take pictures of people taking pictures. Or pictures of cameras.
Do not paint an infinite painting of a painter painting a painter painting a painter painting a painter.
You will break the universe.
Is that what you want?
When Autumn comes, I feel compelled to take pictures of all of the dying or dead leaves.
This time of year makes me think of the song Autumn Leaves. There’s an interesting story behind the song. It comes from a French composer and a French poet.
Many artists have recorded it, but my favorite rendition is by Nat ‘King’ Cole. Cole was my father’s favorite, so he holds a special place in my heart. I grew up hearing his albums.
